Dealer of the Year 2016

The management of the Lonrho Machinery Group are proud to announce that David Machinery Group Tanzania and David Machinery Group South Sudan have once again made into the top 3 for the John Deere Dealer of the Year Awards for the SSA (Sub-Saharan Africa) Division for 2016.

For the year 2016; David Machinery Group Tanzania moved up one spot from their 2015 position, taking the crown away from LonAgro Mozambique who achieved 1st place in 2015.

David Machinery Group South Sudan held onto their third-place position for the second year in a row; a brilliant achievement when taking into consideration the difficult operational environment that the business faces in that country.Second place for 2016 was awarded to Afgri Zambia.

Well done and Congratulations to Lukas Botha (Former LonAgro Tanzania Country Manager) and Elizabeth Lawrence (LonAgro South Sudan Country Manager), and their staff for all their hard work and effort which led to this momentous achievement.

Dealer of the Year 2015

John Deere Africa (which excludes John Deere South Africa) recently announced their top Dealer of the Year for 2015, and Lonrho Machinery Group is proud to announce that the company took the top three positions!

David Machinery Group Mozambique came first, with LonAgro Tanzania 2nd and; despite a challenging political and economic climate, LonAgro South Sudan was 3rd.

This is the first time in John Deere’s history that one distribution holder has taken a clean sweep of the top three positions in the Dealer of the Year Awards!
